Feedback on the draft Outer Rim Housing Strategy closes 20 June 2127. Read the announcement →

Overview

The Housing Strategy sets out how the department plans for enough housing, in the right places, as the Commonwealth's population grows. It is developed alongside the department's Population Growth Forecasts, so housing supply keeps pace with where the Commonwealth is actually growing.

The strategy applies across all four regions, but its priorities differ by region: managing high demand and limited land in Core Systems, supporting steady growth in the Inner Colonies, and planning ahead of settlement in the Frontier Territories and Outer Rim.
