The department runs a number of grant and funding programs to help colony authorities, system governments and communities deliver infrastructure, protect the environment and support regional growth. Each program has its own eligibility criteria, funding streams and application rounds, set out on its own page.

Current programs

Connected Colonies Program Infrastructure delivery — transport, utilities and community facilities — for emerging settlements on the frontier. A launch vehicle lifts off on a column of flame and smoke. Future Spaceports Initiative Funding for new surface terminals and orbital hub upgrades to keep pace with growth. How funding is allocated

Each program is delivered in partnership with system governments and regional colony authorities, with funding prioritised by community benefit, deliverability and value for money. Application rounds and eligibility criteria vary by program.
